Construction

Apparel Construction and Fit-

The sewing class I took in the spring of 2020 required we make one garment that hangs from the shoulders and one garment that hangs from the waist. This was so we could learn how to use patterns and adjust them to our body types. I really enjoyed the class and discovered a love for construction and textiles. Here are my two finished garments along with their documentation files.

Apparel Design and Assembly-
The last sewing class I took at NDSU was Apparel Design and Assembly. In this class we were tasked with constructing our own sewing patterns and creating custom garments. I created a top and a dress in this class. Both garments use the same bust and sleeve patterens, while the dress is an addition to the original shirt pattern. I constructed the dress to wear to my college graduation.
